[ the broadcast opens on the stage in the AUDITORIUM. it's a much wider shot than your average livestream, set up almost professionally, though there is still a bit of wobbliness to the camera that indicates some very homemade handiwork is at play here. our challengers enter the stage, KARLACH in a black suit (paired with her signature black harness), MIKUMO in a shiny golden dress.

KARLACH is the first to step forward, booming into a gleaming silver microphone: ]

ATTENTION, SOLDIERS AND... Uh, what do you call your people?

[ MIKUMO responds thoughtfully: ]

Honestly, I just call them my audience. But I suppose we could call them "Venusians" if you want something a bit snappier.

[ KARLACH clears her throat and gives it her best shot: ]

ATTENTION SOLDIERS AND... Venus...ians. This is not a drill, this is a CHALLENGE for each and every Sinfluencer out there who thinks they know how to move the SINternet. Mikumo and I are gonna move YOU — in a dance challenge!

It's quite simple. We put our dance out to you, and call you out to respond. When you respond, you call your own people out who you want to see take up the challenge. Whatever your experience level or style, we want to see you bring the best you have.

[ KARLACH'S voice booms even LOUDER: ]

BRING YOUR TRICKIEST TECHNIQUES. YOUR BADDEST BREAKDOWNS. I WANNA SEE YOU GET ABSOLUTELY FUCKING SAVAGE!!!

And of course, we'll give you all the motivation you need by putting our money where our mouth is right here.

[ KARLACH paces forth, roaring into the mic: ]

Told you this wasn't a drill, soldiers!! What you're about to see will dazzle and delight you! Ready to show 'em, Mikumo?

[ MIKUMO flashes some of that signature sass: ]

Of course. Don't let your eyes stray for a second.

[ at a gesture from MIKUMO, the lights dim, music blares, and the whirring of a dozen fans drones busily in the background. MIKUMO and KARLACH take their places as sweeping silhouettes before the lights kick back on and the beat drops. the dance they're putting on for you all today is not overly complicated, but it is flashy. MIKUMO'S obviously the professional here, every move fluid and well-practiced, but what KARLACH lacks in technique, she more than makes up for in passion, wearing a smile that says this is the best thing that has ever happened to her in her entire life. they end in a tangle on the floor, where KARLACH reaches for the mic again and HOWLS: ]
