FIRST IMPRESSIONS

VISUAL: here. karlach is HUGE, built like a brick shithouse, and blazing like a burning star all at the same time.
AURAL: here. she's got a pleasant -- if curt -- voice, which can be abruptly taken by song and whimsy at any time and without adequate warning.
OLFACTORY: probably atrocious. like motor oil, white-hot infernal steel, burning hair and flesh, and a pinch of sweet, wild grass.
DEMEANOUR: yellow lab whose owner has just come home from work

AU STUFF FOR MEMES

for cross-canon purposes! to make it easier on memes to slot into canon worlds, here are a few that i'm aware of and how karlach would fit into those universes.

modern au: i'm here for all the coffee shop AU's. karlach is well-meaning and has a heart of gold, but she's the type to get wrapped up with the wrong crowd and stuck in over her head with circumstances beyond her control.

final fantasy vii: karlach is a SOLDIER, not 1st class, but also not obviously going to remain 2nd for much longer. she even has the eyes.

MCU/DC: I have settled my comic book canon that I use for memes on this: idk anything about them really except vagueries, but there's a hellboy in one right? she's one of those, with basically the same backstory as canon. im trying my best & I really like your characters.

"TAV." Canonically, Karlach is 'playersexual,' meaning she'll be open to romance regardless of who or what the player character is. I try to go through your information posts to see what sort of relationship you want, with Karlach always choosing to be as close as possible to Tav -- either via friendship or romance, with the end goal to seem more like family than either of those options. Please note that I am SO open to relationships with zero shipping and I really mean it when I say Karlach wants to be your big sister who squeals over everything cool you accomplish in life. See my permissions post for more on this!

"The Dark Urge." Urge-resistant good Urgies will be rewarded with Karlach in deep, deep denial of all the bad things you do. She will do all of the mental gymnastics possible to view your character in the best light -- until she cannot anymore. Openly evil DUrge, or a DUrge who flaunts a close relationship with Gortash will be subject to a nasty chewing out, at the very least. Keep in mind the very real possibility that she may attack if provoked in these circumstances.

Shadowheart, aka The Fringe, Shadsy, Shaddy, Squirrelheart. The number of nicknames here is directly proportional to Karlach's fondness for her.

Lae'zel, aka "Lae." Karlach respects Lae'zel, and Lae'zel seems to have a lot of respect for her too. They fight well together and actually get on very smoothly outside of combat.

Wyll. In-camp bestie. Wyll has sacrificed more than Karlach could ever repay to him, but she's willing to spend whatever time she has left trying to pay off that debt. He's worth the moon and all the stars, one of the best eggs she's ever met.

Astarion, aka Fangs. He's alright, for a Tory.

Gale. Nice guy, but his grandpa's a little weird. He said he'd hook her up with some delicious arcane literature.

Halsin, aka Bearman. Not only is Halsin a wicked cool and powerful druid, Karlach has a not-so-secret crush on him too. She can most often be found sputtering impotently in his company.

Jaheira. Total idol, Karlach practically worships the ground that she walks on. Her stories got her through some tough times and Karlach is absolutely smitten with her.

Minthara. Karlach respects and cares for her, and even finds her extremely funny from time to time. (My Origin Karlach is romancing her and it's the sweetest thing I've ever seen.)

ABILITIES (SINFLUENCERS)

Hellish Resistance Gain resistance to Fire damage.

Darkvision Can see in the dark up to 12 m / 40 ft.

Opportunity Attack Automatically attack an enemy moving out of your reach.

Speak with Animals You can use the 1st Level Spell Speak with Animals without expending spell slots.

Rage: Tiger Heart While Raging, you can use Tiger's Bloodlust, and your jump distance increases by 4.5m / 15ft.

Tiger's Bloodlust Lash out to attack up to 3 enemies at once. They each take half the damage your weapon usually deals and start to Bleed.

Water Adept You can cause water to flow in whatever direction you would like - level 1 stuff basically, - but you can scale all the way up to breathing underwater, withstanding massive underwater pressures, and summoning water spouts once you've reached level 10!
